Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an EVS Tech I to contribute to a healthy workplace by performing routine cleaning tasks and maintaining disinfected environments for employees and visitors.

High School Diploma or GED is required; at least 6 months of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services. CNACC or CHEST certification is a plus. The position is hourly with a pay range of $19.22–$21.35 per hour, depending on experience and internal equity.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
