Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast (an HCA Healthcare facility) is seeking a Supervisor of Environmental Services to lead EVS operations across inpatient and non-patient areas. Candidates will ensure cleanliness, staff presence, and schedule adherence, while coordinating with nursing and maintenance teams to meet high standards of care.

The role emphasizes staffing oversight, equipment use, and adherence to department policies, with opportunities for cross-training and on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of supervisory experience and/or formal management courses.
• Must read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Make work assignments and set priorities while inspecting for adherence to standards.
• Assist in requisitioning, maintenance, and setup of equipment; submit work orders for defective items.
• Coordinate with Bed Control and Nursing Units on patient room status and staffing needs.
• Counsel employees per hospital policies and manage staffing flexibly as needed.
• Cross-train in other functions and participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Prepare daily activity records reflecting work performed and evaluate staff performance.
