Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   1. Maintain assigned areas
  2. Provide information and directions to inquiring guests
  3. Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor
  4. Clean and sweep paper and debris off the floor
  5. Clean and maintain slot machines and stands
  6. Clean walls, stalls, shelving, telephones, brass rails, doors, glass, mirrors, and any surface needing cleaning attention
  7. Clean and maintain cleanliness of restrooms
  8. Clean and refresh ashtrays and ash urns
  9. Restock supplies (paper products) and chemicals in work areas as needed
  10. Follow proper cleaning procedures when bloodborne pathogens are involved
  11. Clean and maintain areas as assigned by supervisor or manager
  12. Vacuum as assigned
  13. Remove trash as assigned
  14. Transport items from one area to another as assigned
  15. Mop floors
  16. Operate vacuum cleaners or floor cleaning equipment (mops, brooms, etc.)
  17. Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies
Qualifications

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years old. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED and one to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions

Must be able to lift 75 lbs or more. Must manage several tasks during shift. Must tolerate secondary smoke. Able to work around crowded areas. Capable of stooping, bending, reaching, and pulling around casino and restroom areas. Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing allergic reactions.
