Job summary

The Post Oak in Stateline, NV is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep lobby and public areas clean and inviting. You will service restrooms, fitness center, lobby lounge, and guest areas while delivering friendly guest service that reflects KE E P brand values.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, assisting guests, and maintaining a tidy front and back area. Occasional heavy lifting and weekend hours may be required; training is provided.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform cleaning duties across lobby and public areas.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain lobbies and public restrooms.
  • Sweep and mop carpets and lobby entrance.
  • Clean Fitness Center and front lobby areas.
  • Restock supplies in lobby washrooms.
  • Respond to guest requests and direct them to areas.

Overview

Public Area Attendant keeps all lobby and public area facilities such as lobby and casino restrooms, gaming floor and machines, business center, gym, front Office, Valet/ Bell, guest elevators, lobby lounge, casino and employee back of house areas, in neat and clean conditions. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities
  • Cleans and maintains all lobbies and public restrooms.
  • Sweeps and mops carpets, lobby entrance.
  • Cleans Fitness Center.
  • Remove trash from trash receptacles
  • Empties ashtrays and urns.
  • Polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Vacuums and polishes elevators.
  • Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
  • Polishes the lobby floor during night.
  • Keeps the Back area of Front desk neat and clean.
  • Ready to do any other work assigned by the supervisor time to time.
  • Keeps all public areas neat, vacuumed and dusted.
  • Clean and maintain lights.
  • Makes sure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free.
  • Removes all trash from areas.
  • Periodically checks all restrooms / washrooms.
  • Restocks all supplies including toilet paper, soap and hand towels in the lobby wash rooms.
  • Makes sure all surfaces are clean and tidy.
  • Arrange all cushions properly on lobby sofa.
  • Responds to guest requests and inquiries while in the lobby or casino area
  • Assist guest with their questions and direct them to the areas they want to go.
  • Take care of all cleaning equipment used in lobby.
  • Vacuums guest elevators and landings.

  • Work in an environment that is subjected to varying levels of heat and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • Able to work independently.

  • Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgment and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another.

  • Work in an environment where it is wet and humid.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Willing to train.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
  • Frequently stooping, reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
  • Work with others in close spaces.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
Pay Range

USD $15.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.

Tipped Position

This position does not earn tips
