The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is searching for an EVS Manager to join our team at Soutland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As an EVS Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and financial management of custodians, janitors, cleaning and grounds personnel, overseeing compliance with contractual requirements, and coordinating work assignments.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56,900 – $76,800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Hire and train custodial and maintenance staff
- Plan, oversee, and inspect day-to-day custodial, maintenance, and grounds work
- Supervise and evaluate performance, assign and review work
- Develop and prepare work schedules, coordinate and prioritize assignments of operations crews, assure effective workflow and facilitate operations, adjusting work schedules as necessary
- Purchase janitorial supplies; oversee supply scheduling, inventory, and storage
- Review and revise work methods and procedures to promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness and compliance
- Maintain department budget by reviewing weekly and monthly financial information
- Ensure hazardous waste is properly managed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal regulations
- May be required to operate a company vehicle
More about you
- Minimum of five years of experience in environmental services, custodial operations, housekeeping, or facility services required
- Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience required; experience leading large teams in a hospitality, casino, hotel, resort, entertainment venue, or similar high-volume environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safety practices used in maintaining public areas, gaming floors, restrooms, offices, and back-of-house spaces
- Experience managing staffing levels, work schedules, labor productivity, and quality standards in a 24/7 operation
- Ability to conduct inspections, maintain operational records, and prepare reports using standard computer applications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, holidays, and special events
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Physical requirements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate power equipment
- Ability to hear at a conversational level, see colors, and see up close
- Ability to walk, perform repetitive movements, lift, and bend
- Ability to work in noisy, dirty, hot, and humid conditions with exposure to fumes, paint, solvents, and cleaning fluids
