Job Summary and Qualifications

Under supervision, performs daily cleaning tasks for patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinics, and other areas as assigned, following hospital standards and procedures.

Specific Tasks & Essential Functions:

  • Perform cleaning tasks demonstrating service orientation to patients, visitors, staff, and medical personnel.
  • Follow schedules and prescribed methods for cleaning assigned areas.
  • Dust surfaces, empty wastebaskets, disinfect furniture, clean fixtures, mop floors, spot clean walls and windows, polish surfaces, and replenish supplies.
  • Perform discharge cleaning, use safety ladders for curtains, clean precaution rooms, vacuum carpets, transport linens, and assist with spill cleanup.
  • Maintain equipment, report repairs, assist in evacuations during emergencies, and perform other assigned tasks.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED required.
