Job description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton, Texas to hire dependable EVS workers. In this role you will be required to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, safely handling biohazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, infection control, and hospital standards. This role also includes participation in cross‑training and providing Environmental Services support across various departments and facility locations. Schedule: Full‑Time | Part‑Time.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, nursing stations, utility rooms, exam rooms, and common areas.
  • Maintain floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting.
  • Restock supplies and ensure patient rooms are ready for new admissions.
  • Remove waste and trash to designated collection areas.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
  • Complete required documentation and provide excellent customer service and patient support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and patient care.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, behavioral standards, and employee guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete required documentation.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and transport up to 300 lbs. on carts.
  • Push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, and climb ladders as needed.
  • Safely operate heavy floor care and cleaning equipment and machinery.
