Job summary

Hollywood Casino Joliet is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests across the casino property.

You will clean and sanitize gaming floors, guest rooms, restrooms, and public areas; handle spills safely; and support a fast-paced team focused on guest enjoyment.

Strong English, 1 year of housekeeping experience, and the ability to stand for long periods are required; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate floor care equipment.

• Performs duties to clean and sanitize various areas of the casino.
• Responsible for the cleaning of blood spills and bodily fluids.
• Maintains ongoing awareness of safety and responds to emergencies accordingly.
• Performs heavy duty cleaning and maintains all guest and employee areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Keeps storage rooms clean and organized.
• Answers guests' questions about the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Due to safety issues, at the discretion of management, may be required to wear protective equipment.
