Summit Medical Center is looking for a Night EVS Floor Tech to join our Quality Care Team.

Position Summary:

Provide and maintain a clean and sanitary environment by ensuring all floor surfaces are maintained in a manner that supports Summit Medical Centers’ vision and mission.

The staffing of Summit Medical Center is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sweeps, cleans, mops, scrubs disinfects, and dust floors
  2. Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors; tile, carpet flooring
  3. Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
  4. Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
  5. Observe safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs “wet floor”
  6. Ensure that proper procedures are used when cleaning isolation rooms and PPE equipment is being used
  7. Maintains adequate stock of supplies in assigned janitor’s closet
  8. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
  9. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required
  10. Participates in educational programs and in service meetings
  11. Attends meetings as required
  12. Performs other duties as assigned
  13. Maintains established center/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
  14. Maintains confidentiality of patient and center related business
  15. Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors and other center employees
  16. Documents concisely, precisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy
  17. Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and center business
