Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia seeks an EVS Heavy-Duty Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the property.

You will use heavy-duty scrubbers, vacuums, and window tools, performing routine and non-routine cleaning under time constraints while following safety and sanitation guidelines. The role requires HS diploma, 2 years in janitorial work, EVS/housekeeping experience, and ability to obtain the Maryland license.

Formación

• Prior EVS or housekeeping experience required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency license.
• Completion of high school or equivalent is required.

Responsabilidades

• Move heavy supplies and equipment as directed.
• Pull linen from restaurants and manage trash daily.
• Stock housekeeping lockers with linen and cleaning supplies.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks: dust mopping, sweeping, waxing, vacuuming.
• Perform non-routine tasks: floor stripping and refinishing, window washing, carpet shampooing.

As an EVS Heavy-Duty Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property. Your responsibilities include performing deep cleaning tasks in all areas of the facility using specialized equipment such as heavy-duty scrubbers, vacuums, and window cleaning tools. You will handle both routine and non-routine cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and sanitation guidelines. By delivering exceptional attention to detail and working efficiently under time constraints, you will help create a spotless environment that enhances the guest experience and supports the overall success of Live! Casino & Hotel.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• The moving of heavy supplies and equipment as directed.
• Pulling of linen from restaurants/buffet and trash shoot daily.
• Stocking of housekeeping lockers with linen and cleaning supplies.
• Routine manual labor: dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Non-routine manual labor: stripping, refinishing floors, operate floor scrubber, buffer, window washing, waster receptacle washing, carpet shampooing, cleaning, and moving of furniture.
• Ensure the safety and security of guest and team members thorough providing a clean, uncluttered facility.
• Outside scrubbing and cleaning of parking garage and lots.
• Good oral communications skills.
• Knowledge in the safe use of cleaning products.
• Ability to:
  • Read, write, and understand simple instructions.
  • Work well with other people in a timely manner, according to standards.
  • Use standard house cleaning equipment.
  • Perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
• Knowledge of Innkeepers Laws and OSHA regulations and local Health department standards.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• Ability to read, follows instructions, and understands visual aids.
• Ability to use a vacuum and carpet cleaner, buffer, ladder, and shop vac.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Two (2) years’ experience in janitorial service or high-volume commercial facility.
  • With training on heavy duty cleaning equipment.
• MUST HAVE PRIOR EVS OR HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to:
  • Communicate using a two-way radio with ear piece.
  • Clean smoking areas.
  • Push/lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Stand and/or walk up to 7 ½ hours per shift.
  • Stoop, crouch, and kneel.
  • Reach with arms.
  • Ascend/descend stairs for at least 7 ½ hours per shift.
  • Work in a loud work environment.
  • Require manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.

Please note that this is a union position, and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.

Please note that this is a union-represented position and scheduling is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Team Members may be required to participate in shift bids, and shift assignments may change based on operational requirements and Team Member seniority.
