Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, Maryland is seeking an Environmental Services Attendant to maintain the property's cleanliness, safety, and guest experience across a large gaming and hospitality environment.

You will clean slot machines, floors, restrooms, and public areas, respond quickly to operational needs, follow safety and sanitation standards, and support a positive, well‑kept atmosphere for guests and Team Members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience cleaning public buildings/facilities.
• Must be able to obtain Maryland Lottery license.
• Push/lift up to 20 pounds and handle stairs for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests and interacts with team members with caring, friendly manners.
• Cleans slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
• Vacuuming all floors.
• Cleans, disinfects, and restocks restrooms.
• Mops floors around bars, restrooms and entrances.
• Removes trash and debris from machines and floors; uses outside dumpsters.
• Ensures guests have a positive gaming experience through cleanliness.

The Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant is responsible for upholding the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for every guest and Team Member. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a well‑kept gaming and hospitality environment by executing detailed cleaning procedures, responding promptly to operational needs, and adhering to established safety and sanitation standards. Your commitment to thoroughness, guest service, and consistent execution directly supports the property's success and reinforces the high‑quality experience Live! Casino & Hotel is known for.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Welcomes and interacts with guests and other team members with a genuine display of caring and friendliness.
• Cleaning all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
• Vacuuming all floors.
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking all restrooms.
• Mopping floors around the bars, in restrooms and at entrances.
• Responsible for removing all trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans. Trash and debris to be deposited in the outside dumpsters.
• Ensure guests to Maryland Live enjoy a positive gaming experience due to cleanliness of the property.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• Ability to:
  • Read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
  • Use a vacuum and carpet cleaner, buffer, ladder, and shop vac.
  • Perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines.
• Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of guests at all times.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Experience:

  • 6 Months to 2 years of experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to:
  • Communicate using a two-way radio with ear piece.
  • Clean smoking areas.
  • Push/lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Stand and/or walk up to 7 ½ hours per shift.
  • Stoop, crouch, and kneel.
  • Reach with arms.
  • Ascend/descend stairs for at least 7 ½ hours per shift.
  • Work in a loud work environment.
  • Require manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.

Please note that this is a union position, and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.

We encourage Team Members to share their preferred shift availability, and we will strive to accommodate individual scheduling preferences whenever possible and consistent with business needs. Please note that this is a union-represented position and scheduling is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Team Members may be required to participate in shift bids, and shift assignments may change based on operational requirements and Team Member seniority.
