DESCRIPTION

Under close supervision, the Custodian performs cleaning duties in assigned areas of the facility, including both patient and non-patient areas. Responsibilities include cleaning and safeguarding assigned areas, maintaining equipment, determining and managing supplies, delivering clean linen, and collecting soiled linen.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to perform all cleaning and custodial functions, including mopping, pushing and pulling carts, wall washing, vent cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Understanding of procedures for proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemotherapy and infectious/bio-hazardous waste.
• Knowledge of basic safety regulations and issues.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in custodial work within healthcare or hospitality settings.
• Customer service training or experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Availability to work various hours and locations based on operational needs.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $41,864 - $52,075 (prorated if appointment is less than 100%)

Hourly Range: $20.05 - $24.94
