Qualifications

• CHEST certification required within 6 months of hire and provided by St. Charles Health System.
• Preferred: CHEST certification.
• High school diploma or GED (equivalent education and experience will be considered).
• Prior professional janitorial/housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects areas for cleanliness and ensures sanitation per guidelines.
• Cleans toilets, basins, showers, walls, and other furnishings with proper supplies.
• Sweeps, mops, dusts floors and transports trash and bio-medical waste appropriately.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports maintenance needs.
• Maintains supplies and supports a safe environment for patients and guests.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and supports VIP Lean principles.
