Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an EVS Associate for PRN coverage to maintain cleanliness across patient care and support areas. You will prepare Environmental Service carts and perform routine cleaning, including rooms for incoming patients, while adhering to infection control practices.

English proficiency is required; prior institutional cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, and understand English.
• Prior cleaning experience in an institution is desired, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods.
• Prepare the Environmental Service carts for assigned area.
• Spot clean, dust, polish, sweep, mop floors, clean fixtures, showers, commodes, and miscellaneous cleaning in assigned areas including rooms for incoming patients.
• Remove soiled linens and change beds with clean linens.
• Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request.
• Apply proper infection control practices and isolation techniques.
