Job summary

Arch Insurance North America is seeking an experienced insurance leader to provide strategic direction, management, and leadership for the Surety Underwriting Group. The role focuses on strengthening underwriting results, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will guide cross-functional teams, evaluate performance and market opportunities, and represent Arch with key customers, agents, and brokers while traveling across North America up to 35%.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • 15-20+ years of insurance underwriting experience across home office and field environments, with strong knowledge of surety products.

  • Strong talent development capabilities, including mentoring, coaching, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Ability to align strategy with day-to-day operations to achieve key business objectives and drive organizational success.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America for account and marketing visits.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful completion of coursework in finance, management, accounting, and marketing.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. $330,000 - $380,000/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
