Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking candidates to perform all evisceration line positions on a rotation basis at the Southwest City facility. The role requires teamwork, adherence to company policies, and participation in ongoing team development and LEAN initiatives.

Applicants should be comfortable working in a plant environment with required PPE and safety practices. We value individuals with prior machinery experience and a basic understanding of math and English language structure.

Qualifications

• Experience around machinery preferred.
• Knowledge of processing facility operations preferred.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of English language basics (grammar, spelling).

• Identifies gaps in cohesiveness and works with the team leader to resolve issues while reinforcing actions to achieve synergy.

Purpose of the Position

To be fluent in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs all positions on the line in evisceration.
• Participates as a member of the team.
• Participates in the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Attends appropriate team meetings.
• Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding major issues, such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes.
• Quickly identifies areas lacking cohesiveness, brings them to the attention of the team leader, and works with the team to resolve issues while actively seeking ways to reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
• Adheres to Simmons Operating Systems principles and objectives, including quality, security, office environment, company policies, and LEAN.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience working around machinery.
• Preferred working knowledge of a processing facility.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to efficiently work in a plant environment. Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility with light to moderate physical effort. Personal protective equipment required includes waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s), and other protective equipment as needed.
