Job summary

Northampton Center for Couples Therapy offers a two-year postgraduate fellowship focusing on evidence-informed, state-dependent couples therapy with mentorship, training, and hands-on experience. Fellows will work 25 hours per week, building skills across leading models and gaining access to a seasoned community of therapists.

Applicants must complete their graduate degree and obtain Massachusetts license eligibility before September; fellows must reside in Massachusetts and will be compensated

Qualifications

• Must complete academic graduate degree and have Massachusetts license eligibility before September.
• Fellows must reside in Massachusetts.
• Fellows will complete Level I and Level II Gottman Method training before seeing any couples.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 12 weekly couples for 75-minute sessions in year 1.
• Attend all NCCT activities; communicate planned or unanticipated absences to the supervisor and Director of Operations.
• Clinical hours begin after Gottman training and internal training; two new couples weekly until caseload is full.
• See couples at least two evenings per week (4–8:30 pm); remainder during daytime hours; remote and in-person work as allowed by space.
• Provide administrative and clinical support to NCCT Directors and clinicians.
