GoodTherapy is looking for a self-driven Software Engineer to join our team. You will be working within a talented team to develop and support user-facing features using PHP/Javascript and other emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to develop new user-facing features

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Assist in creation of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Make suggestions for better solutions to problems

  • Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies

Requirement:

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting enterprise web applications

  • 2+ years of experience with Javascript, with at least some working knowledge of ES6+

  • 3+ years of experience with the PHP & Javascript frameworks

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Use best practices to document and write quality software. Focus on testing is extremely important

  • A proven track record of working cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve collective goals

  • Experience with vendor integrations (ie. API, Salesforce, Stripe)

  • Experience with MariaDB database or equivalent

Strong working knowledge of:

  • PHP

  • Javascript/Typescript Frameworks

  • CSS Precompiles (Sass or LESS)

  • Integration with RESTful services (REST AND JSON)

  • MariaDB/Mysql

Compensation

The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 CAD per year in most locations.Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
