We are looking for a Software Engineer to focus on our Updox communications platform. Updox offers products such as video telehealth, secure messaging, and form intake solutions in the electronic healthcare space.

Seeking a strong Front-End Software Engineer with backend familiarity, joining a team of 3 developers from mid to staff level. The role involves supporting our UI used daily by doctors and staff, transitioning parts into a newer architecture built with React and a component library.

Ideal candidates are eager to understand existing codebases, learn new technologies, and leverage AI tools like CoPilot and Claude.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy software
• Conduct code reviews
• Participate in Agile ceremonies
• Coordinate releases
• Engage in quarterly planning and story estimation
• Contribute to unit testing
• Troubleshoot production issues with escalation engineers

Skills and Experience:

• 3-5 years of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• 3+ years with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
• 1+ years with style solutions like Tailwind
• 1+ years Typescript experience
• 2+ years backend development with Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Proficiency with Git

Additional Skills:

• Experience with Legacy AngularJS
• Familiarity with Firetower, Sentry, Dynatrace, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, Elastic, Jira, Confluence, JSD/JSM, Spring Boot, OAuth, AWS

Location & Benefits:

The role is remote within the US, with options for in-office or hybrid arrangements. Travel to Denver or other offices may be required. Benefits include flexible work arrangements, wellness stipend, vacation, volunteer days, stock purchase, and 401K with 4% match.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $110,000 - $125,000 USD, based on experience and location. We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
