This role is with Evergreen Retirement Community. WayUp is partnering with Evergreen Retirement Community to hire top talent.

Job Description

  • Provide Home Making Services as required: Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations.
  • Provide additional assistance as required.
  • Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident. Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
  • Provide Personal Care as required: including but not limited to, giving showers/tub or sponge baths, shampooing hair, assisting with dressing, shaving, providing incontinence care, medication reminders, wheelchair transportation, transferring residents.
  • Provide pet care: dog walks, cat care.

Qualifications

  • Level of Formal Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Area of Study: General Education
  • Years of Experience: 0-1+ years
  • Type of Experience: General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation.
  • Language Skills: The ability to understand and speak the English language.
  • Personal Attributes: Patience and compassion for the elderly.
