Job summary

The Lansing School District is seeking an Everett Assistant Girls Swim Coach to lead and develop the girls swim program based out of Everett. You will recruit, coach to a competitive record, and ensure academic success for the season, while coordinating schedules with the Athletic Director.

Strong candidates will have coaching experience, knowledge of MHSAA rules, CPR/First Aid, and alignment with LSD values.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Prior successful coaching experience.
• Knowledge of high-quality coaching tactics and practice drills.
• Knowledge of MHSAA rules and LSD policies.
• CPR Certification and first aid training.
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your team(s) throughout the entire season.
• Recruit a full team of players by the first day of the season, including running competitive tryouts if necessary.
• Coach your team(s) to a winning record, with the goal of reaching and excelling in postseason play.
• Ensure all your players are academically eligible and successful throughout the entire season.
• Organize and communicate consistent practice and competitive game schedules in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Maintain and distribute team equipment and jerseys at the beginning and end of the season.
• Organize and operate offseason conditioning, training, and clinics for both team members and community members.
• Abide by all MHSAA policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.

In the pursuit of our mission, we are hiring Everett Assistant Girls Swim Coach for the District (based out of Everett). This individual will be responsible for supporting their team(s) success, including in the classroom. In particular, the coach will be expected to recruit a full team, coach their team to a competitive record, and ensure their team is academically successful for the whole season. They will also be encouraged to provide offseason training opportunities and expected to lead in-season tutoring, in accordance with MHSAA policies.
