Job summary

Cyclone Ballparks in Pecos, TX is seeking an Events Team Member to support day-to-day facility operations, pre-event, during event, and post-event tasks.

You will assist with general maintenance, food and beverage assignments, and guest services, while collaborating with the Events team to deliver a safe, welcoming experience.

This is a part-time, non-exempt role requiring flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

REPORTS TO: EVENTS MANAGER

STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Events Team Members will work closely with all aspects of day-to-day facility operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Assist Operations Team with pre-event, event, and post-event functions
• General facility and grounds maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep
• Food and beverage assignments
• Assist and support marketing and sponsorship campaigns
• Guest services and office support
• Communicates and coordinates courteously and effectively in a family friendly manner with customers, city/county staff, officials, sponsors, volunteers, and other outside organizations
• Additional tasks assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
• Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team Members
• Must work well with others
• Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and venue
• Commitment to the safety and well-being of others
• Customer service and cash handling experience preferred or quick study

PREFERRED

• Have a basic understanding of sports

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
