Job description

We’re looking for an events marketing leader who loves turning great ideas into real-world experiences that build relationships, drive pipeline, and elevate our brand. At SmarterDx, we bring cutting-edge clinical AI to some of healthcare’s most complex challenges—and we want our presence at industry events to reflect that ambition. This role is your chance to create memorable, high-impact events from the local to national level, and own relationships with professional associations like ACDIS, AHIMA, and HIMSS.

You'll own our event strategy end-to-end—from developing our presence at major healthcare conferences to organizing bespoke field events that engage our key audiences: CFOs and revenue cycle leaders, clinical documentation integrity (CDI) professionals, and physician advisors. You’ll be instrumental in creating memorable experiences that drive awareness, pipeline, and brand authority for SmarterDx.

You’re a proven events marketer with a strong B2B background in healthcare and a passion for even the smallest details. You know how to craft compelling booth experiences, enable speakers to shine on stage, and design events that align with sales and marketing goals. You bring creativity, operational excellence, and data-driven thinking to every initiative.

As a key member of our high-performing marketing team, you’ll report to the Head of Marketing and play a central role in helping us grow SmarterDx’s presence in the acute hospital and health system market.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all aspects of event execution: Plan, manage, and execute SmarterDx’s presence at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner or client events—from booth design to vendor management to logistics.
  • Design memorable brand experiences: Develop event concepts and experiences that differentiate SmarterDx and communicate our value propositions to key targets.
  • Drive strategy and results: Set event objectives aligned with marketing and sales goals (e.g., lead generation, customer engagement), and measure performance using KPIs like pipeline created and influenced, foot traffic, and content engagement.
  • Enable executive thought leadership: Collaborate with our co-founders, other internal SMEs, and content marketers to submit compelling speaker submissions and support on-stage appearances at top conferences, as well as client events (e.g., client executive council gatherings).
  • Orchestrate field events: Plan and execute intimate field marketing events such as association chapter events, executive dinners, and roundtables that deepen relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with sales, product, design, and demand generation to ensure integrated campaigns and aligned messaging.
  • Manage budget and logistics: Own the events calendar, negotiate vendor contracts, manage timelines, and track ROI for every event in collaboration with our marketing ops manager.
  • Innovate and improve: Continuously iterate on event strategies, testing new formats and approaches to improve engagement and outcomes.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B event marketing, preferably within healthcare, health tech, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Proven success in planning and executing a range of event formats, including national tradeshows, in partnership with exhibit and events agencies.
  • Creative thinking and strong brand sensibility to make our event presence stand out in a crowded market.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving priorities.

Compensation

$120,000 - $135,000 salary + equity incentives
