Misselwood at Endicott College is a stunning oceanfront estate with historic charm, offering panoramic views and serving as a premier venue for world-class events in Beverly, MA. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Events Operations, this role ensures the delivery of exceptional services across all event types, maintaining Misselwood’s reputation for superior hospitality and seamless execution.

This position is ideal for a professional with excellent organizational, customer service, and operational skills who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordination and Implementation of Events:
  • Manage logistics for various event types including weddings, social events, meetings, overnight programs, and college/internal events.
  • Provide exceptional service throughout the planning and execution process.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and detailed understanding of housing, catering, alcohol, and AV needs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure flawless event execution and excellent guest experiences.
  • Manage on-site operations for meetings, social events, and overnight stays, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Oversee billing documentation to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Day-to-Day Operations:
    • Maintain high standards in daily operations for quality and consistency.
    • Manage bar and summer inventory, ensuring accuracy and readiness.
    • Supervise and mentor seasonal staff, fostering a professional team environment.
  • Other Duties:
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and trends to improve operations.
    • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.
    Requirements/Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, or related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience planning and executing diverse events.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience supervising staff, including seasonal teams.
    • Exceptional customer service and proactive problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace; adaptable to new platforms.
    • Initiative, professionalism, and resilience under stress.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Timely and respectful communication skills.
    • Certifications such as ServeSafe, Crowd Manager, AED/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
    • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Availability for evenings, weekends, and flexible hours.
