Midas Hospitality is seeking a results-driven Events Manager to lead both our rooftop bar's private event sales and its daily operations at the Element Hotel. This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in both client-facing sales and hands-on leadership. The ideal candidate will not only drive event bookings and partnerships but also ensure flawless execution of service, staffing, and bar performance.

You will act as the key point of contact for private events while simultaneously overseeing the Upbar guest experience, staff management, and service operations. This hybrid position is perfect for a motivated, organized, and charismatic leader ready to grow one of the most iconic rooftop venues in the city.

What You Will Be Doing:

Sales & Events

  • Prospect and grow bar revenue by targeting local businesses, tourism partners, social groups, and event planners
  • Conduct site visits, outreach campaigns, and cold calls to book group reservations, private events, and large-party experiences
  • Build and maintain relationships with key local corporate and hospitality accounts through excellent follow-up and service
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to integrate Upbar offerings into hotel packages and group proposals
  • Attend networking events and industry mixers to promote Upbar and capture new leads
  • Develop and maintain sales reports, track KPIs, and contribute to quarterly sales planning
  • Work with Marketing to execute promotions and advertising aligned with sales goals

Bar Operations

  • Oversee daily rooftop bar operations, ensuring service excellence, team leadership, and a vibrant atmosphere
  • Uphold SOPs, brand standards, and compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws
  • Manage inventory, vendor orders, beverage cost controls, and back-end systems
  • Hire, train, and manage bar staff, fostering a service-first and team-oriented culture
  • Ensure consistency in drink execution and light food offerings
  • Maintain POS system updates, pricing, and end-of-day reporting
  • Coordinate with hotel departments for seamless guest experience and operational support
  • Lead or support the execution of in-bar activations and seasonal events

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-5 years of bar/event/hospitality management experience (rooftop or lifestyle venues )
  • Demonstrated success in hospitality sales and private event coordination
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with POS, inventory, and CRM or event sales systems
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event demand
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
