Job description

FastSpring is the world’s leading ecommerce platform for SaaS/Software, gaming, and digital product companies. Our product hosts over 10 million transactions per year, powering sales growth for more than 3,500 companies in over 200 countries, using every major currency. We pride ourselves on being an innovative company with an entrepreneurial culture, growth mindset, global influence, and profitable operations.

We are committed to building an inclusive work environment, and we invest in our employees by helping team members grow and develop professionally. We are developers, technologists, and business professionals who are globally-minded, customer-focused, and driven by constant innovation.

Founded in 2005, FastSpring is a privately owned company headquartered in Santa Barbara with offices in Amsterdam, Austin, Belfast and Halifax.

The Position:

FastSpring's marketing team has an exciting mission: to showcase our world-class ecommerce platform to SaaS/Software, gaming, and other digital products globally. As part of that mission, we're seeking a talented Events Manager to bring their strategic vision and execution expertise to our event marketing initiatives. We want our presence at tradeshows, conferences, and sponsored events to be memorable, impactful, and effective at generating valuable leads. That's where you come in!

The ideal candidate will hit the ground running to plan and execute exceptional event experiences that align with our brand and business objectives. You'll start by managing our existing event calendar, but quickly expand to play a strategic role in identifying new opportunities and elevating FastSpring's presence in the market. At first, you'll work within our established event framework, but soon you'll be innovating and optimizing our approach to maximize ROI and create standout brand experiences.

This role will focus on the complete event lifecycle - from researching industry events that align with our ideal customer profile, to managing logistics, coordinating with stakeholders, and measuring outcomes. You might help organize everything from large industry tradeshows to intimate customer dinners, virtual webinars to executive speaking engagements. The most important part is creating cohesive, professional experiences that make complex payments solutions approachable and compelling through strategic event marketing.

You'll be joining a marketing team energized by both brand growth and professional development. Prepare for a tremendous learning opportunity with a team that boasts exceptional employee satisfaction scores and prides themselves on fostering an environment where creativity thrives, ideas are valued, and team members feel empowered to experiment and grow.

The title of this position is "Events Manager", but we're big believers that if you have a different title that more accurately describes your contributions, there should be flexibility. Bring your ideas around that and let's discuss.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of FastSpring’s tradeshow and event presence.
  • Research and propose relevant industry events that align with FastSpring’s ICP and go-to-market strategy.
  • Manage event budgets and coordinate with vendors, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Track deadlines and deliverables, including booth design, shipping logistics, staffing plans, promotional materials, and on-site execution.
  • Travel 2x per quarter for events and team on-sites.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to align event goals with pipeline generation and lead capture efforts.
  • Develop and execute pre-event and post-event marketing plans in collaboration with demand generation and content teams.
  • Track and report on event performance metrics, including lead volume, quality, and conversion to opportunities.
  • Ensure brand consistency and professionalism in all event-related activities and materials.
  • Support ancillary events such as customer dinners, meetups, and advisory board gatherings tied to major industry events.
  • Have fun!

Great candidates for this role will have:

  • 3+ years of experience planning and executing B2B events, tradeshows, or field marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and event budgets.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience organizing international events and navigating country-specific logistics.
  • Strong storytelling and copywriting skills to help shape event messaging and signage.
  • Photography or videography skills for capturing content at events.
  • A background in marketing SaaS, software, fintech, or other digital-first companies is a major plus
  • 401(k), including company match
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision & supplementary coverages
  • Flexible PTO and 13 Company Holidays
  • Bi-weekly 'FastSpring Friday' half-days
  • Work-from-home essentials reimbursement
  • Paid parental leave
  • Volunteer opportunities & donation matching
  • Quarterly employee events
