Job summary

KLAS Research is seeking an Event Manager to transform leadership's vision into well-run events from planning through follow-up. You will partner with the executive team to define goals, lead event teams, coordinate with sponsors and venues, and manage budgets.

Your role includes travel coordination, risk management, and post-event reporting to continually improve processes. You’ll bring at least two years of success in event management, strong communication, and the ability to lead with

  • Two years of successful event management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, even with multiple priorities.
  • Professionalism and confidence when working with executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead meetings, make decisions, and motivate a team.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to solving problems.
  • Experience managing events for 100–200 attendees (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the executive team to define event goals and plans.
  • Lead event teams by setting direction, timelines, and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with sponsors, venues, executives, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and keep projects within budget.
  • Coordinate participant travel and venue contracts and orders.
  • Identify risks and keep events on schedule; address challenges promptly.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality expectations and complete on time.
  • Gather feedback and prepare post-event reports for improvement.
  • Document best practices to improve event planning processes.

Job description

As an Event Manager, you’ll turn leadership’s vision into well-run events by bringing the right people together, coordinating the details, and guiding each event from planning through follow-up. You’ll lead assigned events, support others as needed, and help improve our event processes over time.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the executive team to define event goals, communicate plans, and bring each event vision to life.
  • Lead event teams by setting direction, sharing timelines and milestones, resolving conflicts, and building collaboration.
  • Coordinate with team members, industry executives, sponsors, venues, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop event budgets, monitor expenses, and make decisions that keep projects within budget.
  • Coordinate participant travel and work with venues on contracts and banquet event orders.
  • Identify and address risks to keep events on schedule and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Ensure event deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
  • Gather feedback and prepare post-event reports to improve future events.
  • Document best practices and look for ways to improve event planning processes.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of successful event management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments at a fast pace.
  • Professionalism and confidence when working with executives and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to lead meetings, make decisions, motivate others, and build a positive team environment.
  • A proactive, flexible approach to solving problems and managing changing priorities.
  • The ability to anticipate project risks and find practical ways to address them.
  • Creativity and an interest in learning and applying new event management approaches.
  • Proficiency with event management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing events for 100–200 or more attendees, particularly events involving executive-level professionals.
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality management, marketing, communications, or a related field.

The salary range for this role starts at$65,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
