Position Summary

Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, a division of Oak View Group, is looking to hire an Event Lead Chef at Ensemble Arts Philadelphia. The Event Lead Chef is responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.

Types of events that can be expected:

• Cocktail receptions, seated dinners
• Breakfast & lunch buffets
• Private dining
• Weddings, galas, and other large events

This role pays an hourly wage of $30 to $35.

Responsibilities

• Work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
• Experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
• Ensure food portions and presentation meet event standards
• Have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking
• Assist the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assigned
• Maintain knowledge of standard menu item preparation
• Keep work environment, including floors and passages, clean
• Clean kitchen and equipment as directed by Culinary Management
• Maintain organized food storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
• Assist with unloading deliveries
• Manage a team of 15+ kitchen assistants
• Collaborate with the event captain to ensure a positive client experience
• Ensure sanitation standards meet city compliance
• Work professionally with co-workers and supervisors
• Assist with setup and cleanup of operational areas
