Job summary

Athena, our Philadelphia-based headquarters, is seeking an Events & Experiences Intern for Summer 2027. The program runs June 15 through August 11 with interns working 20–30 hours per week, in person.

You’ll assist planners and designers, gain exposure to event logistics and cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to high-visibility initiatives across diverse sectors. Interns are paid $20/hour for the nine-week program, with hands-on experience from planning to execution and a capstone

Qualifications

• The candidate is a creative thinker who proposes ideas and solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments is expected.
• Ability to learn new software and apply it quickly in workflows.
• Attention to detail, calendar management, and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for client and internal events.
• Support vendor research, outreach, and communications.
• Help develop and document event materials such as agendas and signage.
• Participate in on-site event execution, post-event reporting, and meetings.
• Contribute to brainstorming for experiential marketing ideas.
• Conduct research to inform and support project strategy development.
