Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an Events Coordinator to manage events from conception to completion, delivering exceptional guest experiences and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong customer service, hospitality skills, and the ability to work after hours, including weekends and evenings. On-site event setup, AV/lighting management, and vendor coordination are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours including split-shifts, evenings and weekends.
• Working knowledge and commitment to customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Concierge service including hospitality and amenities for guests.
• Coordinate events from conception through to completion.
• Responsible for on-site coordination of events and room reservations.
• Manage registrations, payments, and invoices; maintain event calendars and layouts.
• Operate video, audio, and lighting equipment and troubleshoot as needed.

As an Events Coordinator at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion.This position is responsible to produce events from conception through to completion. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acts as an Ambassador for Pine Rest with the ability to “live the mission” of Pine Rest and have knowledge of the organization.
• Provide Concierge service including hospitality and amenities for guests
• Responsible for being on-site for coordination of events.
• Preplanning with “customer” both internal and external
• Responsible for room reservation/calendar for all meeting rooms
• Coordination of set up
• Coordination of food, technology, special requests
• Follow up – evaluation, guest history, attendance numbers, etc.
• Maintains data base of clients
• Handles registrations, payments, invoices, etc.
• Maintains calendar of event bookings, daily layouts for facility set-up, room signs, etc.
• Work in coordination with housekeeping/set up staff to ensure rooms reflect client needs.
• Work in coordination with manager to promote special events
• Able to operate all video, audio, and lighting functions
• Able to trouble-shoot technology when not functioning properly
• Maintain electronic signage

What Does This Role Require?

• College degree in related field is preferred
