Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking an on-call Conference Services Attendant at Bloomberg, Skillman, NJ. The role runs on a flexible schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an emphasis on maintaining meeting rooms and public areas to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (if needed).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Moves and places tables, chairs, and supply linens for each event in the conference center.
• Sets up flipcharts, whiteboard, screens, and other items not included in the room.
• Ensures conference rooms are ready with pens, pads, handouts, and event packages.
• Refreshes rooms between meetings and maintains room readiness as scheduled.
• Maintains prompt phone and email communication with clients and guests.
• Assists clients and visitors and provides directions and escorts to rooms.
• Collaborates with staff to update information and support planning.
• Inspects meeting rooms weekly and coordinates needed service.
• Assists with basic audio visual equipment as needed.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and notifies when replenishment is required.
