Job summary

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is seeking an Events Concierge to support group events and banquets. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage and Marketing teams to ensure flawless planning and execution, from setup to post-event wrap-up.

The role requires hospitality experience, the ability to manage multiple details, and availability on weekends, holidays, and nights. A valid Kentucky gaming license is preferred or required as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospitality, entertainment, sports, or similar experience.
• Prior experience with audio visual equipment is a plus.
• Ability to obtain Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains a fun, entertaining environment while delivering service excellence.
• Coordinate with F&B and Marketing to finalize event details.
• Set up banquet spaces per floor plan and banquet event orders.
• Execute table settings, buffet setups, displays, and bars as required.
• Close down and clean banquet spaces after events.
• Communicate with F&B and Marketing in advance to ensure smooth day-of operations.
• Maintain courteous, professional communication with all customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the \"Property\") is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

The Event Concierge works directly with the Food & Beverage and Marketing departments to facilitate group events and banquets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.


• Upholds the company and departmental service standards while ensuring the coaching/accountability measures are enforced.


• Ensures the safety and security of employees and customers.


• Completes room set up, following the floor plan as well as banquet event order.


• Executes table setting, buffet setups, displays, and bars following the banquet event order.


• Conducts closing down and cleanup of banquet spaces.


• Contacts F&B and Marketing teams in advance to confirm all details related to the event and assists the team in facilitating plans and fully responding to day-of requests.


• Ensures courteous, professional, sincere, and responsive communications with all customers (internal and external).


• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.


• Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and energy.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.


• Extensive walking is typically required.


• Performing physical work required to set up events.


• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Previous experience working in hospitality, entertainment, sports, or a similar environment.


• Prior experience with audio visual equipment setup and operation is a plus.


• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
