Job summary

Apartment Life is seeking an Events and Ministry Coordinator to plan and host activities for two senior apartment communities in Monroe and Winder, GA. The role focuses on connecting residents with local resources, wellness programs, and enrichment activities, while coordinating with on-site staff and the supervisor.

The position is part-time (16 hours/week) and requires availability Monday–Friday with occasional after-hours or weekend activities; transportation, license, and insurance are

• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Basic computer and English writing skills.
• Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Commitment to the required service term.

About the Role

The Events and Ministry Coordinator serves two senior adult (55+) apartment communities by planning events, connecting residents with resources, and supporting their social, wellness, and enrichment needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and host 2–3 resident events each month
2. Connect residents with local resources for food, rent assistance, and other needs
3. Organize workshops, classes, and enrichment activities
4. Partner with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations
5. Communicate with onsite staff and the Apartment Life supervisor
6. Track activities and submit monthly impact reports

Important Details

1. Part-time, paid position: 16 hours/week
2. Serves communities in Monroe and Winder, GA
3. Must be available primarily during Monday–Friday business hours, with occasional after-hours/weekend activities
4. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance

Qualifications

1. 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
2. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in event planning, social impact, or human services
3. Strong communication and listening skills
4. Basic computer and English writing skills
5. Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed

Preferred: Bilingual Spanish, event planning, experience serving at-risk populations, budgeting, social media, and community partnerships.
