Job summary

The Brandeis School of San Francisco is seeking an Events and Facilities Specialist to coordinate event setup, hospitality, and light maintenance across school functions, ensuring a safe, appealing environment. You will work with event stakeholders, manage space readiness, assist with safety procedures, and perform basic repairs under supervision.

This role may require evenings and occasional weekends with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Clear, professional communication in an educational setting.
• Good computer/office/phone skills.
• Ability to operate custodial and maintenance tools.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety and safe work practices.
• First Aid/CPR certification desirable.
• Willingness to undergo a DOJ background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, podiums, whiteboards, and A/V equipment for events.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure back-end support is maintained.
• Work with front-of-house to ensure events are calendared and setups received.
• Serve as safety coordinator in absence of Facilities Manager.
• Maintain inventory records and request orders as needed.
• Perform space cleanup and equipment breakdown after events.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment under supervision.
• Coordinate larger repairs with licensed contractors or vendors.
• Organize storage and maintenance areas; respond to emergencies.
• Relocate furniture and large equipment as required.
• Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
