Job summary

Job Overview

Event Support Staff provide general manual labor, guest support and other ancillary services to assist the Alliance Events staff produce and run successful events in venues throughout Prospect Park.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Outcomes
  • Perform general maintenance before and after every event, including cleaning bathrooms, mopping, and washing windows as assigned.
  • Assist guests with getting to and from the Litchfield Villa parking lot as assigned.
  • Greet guests as they enter or exit buildings and assist with general inquiries as assigned.
  • Operate and maintain basic A/V equipment required to support events.
  • Ensure visitor and caterer adherence to Picnic House Rules.
Requirements

Performs other job-related duties and functions as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a customer-facing role or assisting in the coordination and set-up of performances, events, conferences or larger meetings.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Work is normally performed in the field at an event venue and involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident/injury and requires following basic safety precautions.
  • Requires operating equipment and being on a ladder where carelessness could result in injury; standing for extended periods of time and stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or crawling.
  • Requires manual labor requiring moderate physical exertion (consistent need to lift, push, pull, carry, etc. up to 50 lbs.). May require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines or with irritant chemicals and may require use of protective clothing or gear.
  • Requires communicating information with co-workers, stakeholders and/or the public; reading basic documents and/or following verbal instructions and filling in forms.
