• Contract

Bike to the Beach is a non‑profit, 501(c)(3) that develops networks of support for the autism and disabilities community through collaborative partnerships with non‑profits, companies, and the community. Our signature fundraising events are cycling events from cities. We host these events and have a network of partners in 7 major markets around the country.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event support for the 100‑mile charity ride from Washington DC to Dewey Beach, DE.
• Provide basic bike maintenance such as fixing flat tires.
• Address more advanced bike issues including broken chains and gear problems.
• Ride along the route in chase cars to help riders with any bike problems.
• Work during the event day with flexible start and finish times (e.g., start at 5 AM and leave at 10 AM or start at 9 AM and leave at 4 PM).

Qualifications

• Basic bike mechanic skills preferred; experience in bike maintenance or event support is a plus.
• Availability on Friday, July 29, 2022.
• Willingness to work 5 AM to 5 PM with flexible hours.
• Having your own vehicle is desirable but not required; transportation can be provided.

Compensation

Pay $15‑20 per hour for event staff.
