Job summary

5 STAR Event Services in Austin seeks part-time event staff and security personnel to help ensure the safety and comfort of guests at live events. You will enforce venue rules, monitor entry points, perform bag checks, greet guests, and direct them to seating and services during concerts, games and other gatherings.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, being 18+, and Texas Level II Guard Card eligibility; training and fingerprint/background checks provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Texas Level II security guard card eligible; training provided and required; fingerprinting and background check.

Responsibilities

• Enforce venue integrity and safety.
• Monitor entry/exit points and perform bag checks.
• Greet and direct guests to seating and services.
• Respond to complaints per policies and procedures.
• Escort during events and assist with evacuations as needed.
• Report suspicious activity and maintain orderly facility operations.

Get paid to work awesome events!Check out our current Event Calendar here: www.5starstaff.com/calendarDescription: Event Staff/Security Guards are responsible for the safety and comfort of all clients, guests and other employees.Duties:Enforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the venueMonitor entry and exit points to specific areas of the venuePerform routine search procedures including bag searches and screening of guests and their tickets, bags, credentials, etc. prior to guest entry to ensure that no prohibited items enter the venueGreet and direct guests to seating areas and various servicesMaintain open and smooth access routes of patron/vehicle walkwaysReceive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and proceduresEnforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activityAide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergenciesProvide security escorts per event requirementsQualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalentAt least 18 years of ageReliable forms of communication and transportationLEVEL 2 SECURITY: Texas Non-Commissioned Guard Card (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. Athletic and musical events can be very loud and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels.
