The Popcorn Lady is seeking an on-site Event Staff member to support busy event bookings, especially Sept-Nov. This role focuses on customer-facing service with a great personality and teamwork.

Flexible scheduling is available, offering a chance to gain catering industry experience and strengthen customer service skills. Responsibilities include setting up event spaces, presenting and delivering products, serving guests, and maintaining a clean work area while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, banquet service, or related field preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays or equipment as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces with tables, chairs, linens, and decorations per event plans.
• Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring attractive plating and standards.
• Deliver products to clients as needed.
• Serve food and beverages to guests professionally and with a friendly demeanor.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment at the event, including dining and serving areas.
• Answer guest inquiries courteously and provide accurate information.
• Clear tables and reset spaces to maintain smooth service flow.
• Collaborate with team members for seamless coordination during events.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and equipment storage.
• Provide exceptional customer service and anticipate guest needs.
