Job summary

The Classic Center in Athens, GA is seeking a dependable, energetic team member for Convention Center Operations. The role supports events from setup to teardown, ensuring a smooth transition between functions and guest experiences.

Shifts include part-time and full-time opportunities, with schedules across days, nights, weekends and holidays. Pay is $15.85 per hour; full-time benefits available. Applicants must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and obtain a forklift license and state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and walk extensively.
• Forklift license and valid state driver’s license required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside other event staff to set up and convert the campus for events
• Build event layouts based on diagrams and manager instructions
• Prioritize safety in every task, following training and best practices
• Assist with event preparations, day‑of‑event needs, and post‑event tear‑down
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and efficient
• Store tools and equipment properly after use and assist with annual inventory
• Pitch in on other duties as assigned — every event is different
