Job summary

Mohegan Sun seeks a Houseperson to set up event spaces, handle basic equipment, and support guests during events. You will help prepare rooms, move tables, chairs, podiums, and ensure back-of-house areas stay clean and organized. Strong English communication and physical stamina are essential.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with Fire Marshal requirements, assisting with on-site and off-site events, and working flexible shifts in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to handle physical responsibilities involved with moving and placing event space equipment.

Responsibilities

• Establish the environment for all events, including basic event equipment for banquets/conventions.
• Assist in monitoring the event space for cleanliness or maintenance.
• Help guests with movement of equipment, materials or boxes as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage rooms and back-of-house areas for the ballroom and convention center.
• Assist in refreshing rooms according to written instructions and follow Fire Marshal requirements.
• Occasionally execute events off-site as needed.
