Job summary

MSU Residential and Hospitality Services is seeking a Conference Worker for the Events department. You will set up, serve, clean, and breakdown events at Kellogg Center and other on-campus venues, supporting weddings, conferences, and banquets.

Ideal candidates provide outstanding customer service, can work nights/weekends, and perform tasks with minimal supervision in a dynamic hospitality environment. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with a 9-month contract and potential renewal.

• Able to work nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, and break down events at Kellogg Center and on-campus venues.
• Assist with food and beverage production, preparation, and service.
• Set up banquet areas and ensure clean, organized service spaces.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans; maintain kitchen areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, ranges, counters, and equipment.
• Move supplies and items between storage and event spaces.
• Deliver room service trays and assist with logistics as needed.
