The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for an Event Services Manager to join the Banquet team!

Located on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4-Star, AAA 4-Diamond property is consistently ranked among the world's best resorts with 780 rooms, 100,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets, including 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a cafe, and in-room dining.

  • Shift: Various – must be available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour, based on experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As an Event Services Manager, you will oversee event execution between the hotel and the customer during meetings or events. You will act as a liaison, directing hotel departments in their roles for each event, aiming to enhance guest experience and secure future bookings. You will also maximize revenues through upselling and serve as the primary contact for on-site event planning.

Your essential functions include:

  • Providing direction and supervision during event execution.
  • Serving proactively as the on-site contact for group and catering clients.
  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties with clear goals.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members via various channels.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of systems, products, and processes.
  • Resolving conflicts, negotiating, and handling complaints.
  • Selling and influencing internal and external clients.
  • Making decisions and solving problems efficiently.
  • Ensuring high-quality service through communication, guidance, and coaching.
  • Participating in site inspections and supporting sales efforts.
  • Performing other duties as needed.

What are we looking for?

- Minimum of 1 year of hospitality management experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of Delphi.fdc property management system.
  • Experience in revenue management or similar analytical roles.
  • Relevant degree or certifications (e.g., CMP, CPCE).
