Job summary

Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, CO is hiring Seasonal Event Services Janitorial Staff to help keep venues clean during the fair season. Duties include cleaning restrooms, offices and buildings, removing trash, sweeping, dusting and mopping.

Outside duties cover grounds cleanup with brooms and rakes, weed control, snow removal and painting as needed. Long hours, nights and weekends may be required; prior janitorial or grounds keeping experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Able to work long hours including nights and weekends.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices and buildings; remove trash; sweep, dust and mop.
• Clean outdoor areas using basic tools and collect debris; may include weed control, snow removal and painting.

Duties

The Event Services Department is seeking hard working individuals to join our team and help us make the 2025 Colorado State Fair a success. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, office areas, buildings. Includes removing trash, sweeping, dusting, mopping.
• Cleaning outside areas using brooms, rakes, shovels, etc to collect debris (leaves, sticks, trash, manure) from grounds areas. Duties may include pulling weeds, snow removal, plant watering, and painting.
• Please be sure to note any previous grounds keeping, event setup or janitorial experience on your application.
• Positions may be required to work long hours including nights and weekends.
• Pay range is $16.23 – $18.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
