Job summary

DK Security is hiring for Event Staff Security Officers to ensure safety at concerts, sports events, trade shows and conferences in Downtown Grand Rapids and surrounding venues. The role emphasizes customer service, hospitality security, and crowd management.

Officers work evenings and weekends, with a target of 4–6 events per month, and are paid $18.50 per hour plus eligibility-based benefits. This position requires outdoor work and the ability to stay calm in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be available to work at minimum 4+ events per month.
• Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Physical requirements include standing/walking 4–8 hour shifts, ability to respond to emergencies, outdoors work, hearing conversations.
