Job summary

ASM Global in Oklahoma City is seeking a security officer to patrol assigned areas, guard events, and protect patrons and property. You will conduct post checks, respond to incidents, and maintain security records to ensure safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, escorting disruptive individuals when needed, and supporting crowd control during events while upholding professional, courteous conduct with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Prefer previous experience in a security role.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Stand guard during events and tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises.
• Handle disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility; escort disruptive individuals if necessary.
• Write incident reports and meet with security supervisor to review procedures.
• Inspect alarms and fire extinguishers/sprinkler systems to verify operation.
• Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Tour facility, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises.
• Respond to emergencies immediately -- answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Assist departments in handling large sums of money when required.
