Job summary

Watson Express Security is hiring Event Security Guards to protect guests, clients, and staff at events in the Minneapolis area. These roles offer full-time, part-time, or contract engagements with starting pay around $17.00 per hour, depending on site and experience.

We're seeking motivated, courteous professionals with a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and at least 1 year of customer service or security experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Driver's license and reliable transportation (required).
• At least 1 year of customer service or security experience (preferred).
• Military, police, or 2+ years of professional security experience (preferred).
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred; training available within 90 days if not certified).
• Smartphone (required) to access reporting and scheduling tools.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screening (drug test, federal background check, fingerprinting).
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entry and exit points, including verifying access and checking badges.
• Provide accurate information and assistance to event guests.
• Enforce venue and event policies (e.g., no smoking, restricted access).
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
• Handle patron complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR) and clock in/out using the Officer Reports app.
• Support event managers and collaborate with site staff and fellow security team members.

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and professional Event Security Guards to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting clients, guests, and staff while ensuring a safe and positive event experience. Event Security Officers act as representatives of both the client and Watson Express Security by maintaining order, providing assistance, and delivering outstanding customer service.
