Responsible for providing internal support for CM&I sales lead and specialist. Work with hotel operations, the CM&I operations team and vessels to manage programming requests prior to a group contracting. Manage the group handover process, site inspections pre-contract, sales force updates, Oceania and Regent CM&I group build requests and new vendor forms.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the CM&I sales lead, sales specialist, hotel operations, CM&I operations team, vessels and clients to manage onboard programming requests prior to a group contracting.
- Manage the NCL, Oceania and Regent group handover process.
- Work with clients, hotel operations and security to facilitate site sections pre-group contract.
- Complete all Salesforce updates.
- Complete Oceania and Regent CM&I group build requests. Work with Oceania and Regent revenue teams as needed.
- Attend conferences and special events as required.
- Lead miscellaneous projects as required by the business.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1-year charter, meeting or incentive sales experience. 3-5 cruise and travel sales experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include intermediate level skills with Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn reservation system with groups.
- Organizational skills to handle group files, consistently and clearly; organizational skills to maintain calendar and ensure proper follow-up.
- Ability to build personal credibility by way of solid product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow-through and problem solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales and operations environment; ability to shift priorities per business demands. Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team based environment.
- Excellent verbal and written command of English sufficient to support travel partners and internal stakeholders with questions/issues as well as to effectively diffuse situations whenever necessary. Knowledge of or ability to learn ship and shoreside business operations.
- Team and problem-solving skills to assist Lead and sales specialists with various tasks.
- Ability to travel onboard ships and events whenever necessary and work particular hours as determined by assigned region to service clients.
