What You’ll Do

As an Event Rental Consultant, you will handle sales activities from initiation to close, including answering calls, managing orders, troubleshooting inventory, and meeting clients in our showroom. Collaboration with sales and other departments is essential to ensure customer satisfaction, strengthen relationships, and meet revenue goals. Developing trust within the team and honoring commitments are critical aspects of this role.

This position reports to the Inside Sales Manager, with opportunities in Boston, Woburn, and Stoughton locations across New England.

The Day-to-Day
  • Answer phones and assist in creating customer orders
  • Help customers with event order design, modifications, and product questions
  • Handle multiple tasks and high call volumes
  • Manage approximately $1-$1.5 million in annual revenue
  • Maintain and grow strategic accounts
  • Consult with clients on event details and rental needs
  • Identify target prospects and prepare quotes
  • Enter and verify customer orders and schedules
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings
  • Conduct showroom appointments and assist visitors
  • Master PEAK’s order entry software
  • Resolve inventory issues and educate customers on rental items
  • Send swatches and assist with installation schedules as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and establish trust within the team
  • Attend industry networking events
Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-3 years of hospitality experience (catering, food service, event planning, venue, hotel)
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Sales experience and hospitality degree are a plus
  • Availability Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends
  • Proficiency with computers (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
