Job Summary:
We are seeking an Event Registration and Technology Coordinator to join our team and support the registration process for events. A successful candidate will learn all aspects of registration, including online registration, attendee communication, customer service, database management, and event technology. The Event Registration Coordinator will work closely with the registration and event planning team to ensure a seamless registration process for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of the registration process for events, ensuring accuracy of attendee information, managing registration deadlines, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Independently execute daily tasks including attendee data entry (profile updates, hotel requests, session attendance), quality-checking of lists, and set-up and running of reports, utilizing multi-tasking ability.
- Communicate effectively with attendees via email, phone, and in-person to provide event details, answer questions, and assist with registration.
- Perform quality control testing of corporate client registration websites according to specifications, batching all edits.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure proper registration equipment is in place, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth on-site registration.
- Work with the registration team to develop and implement strategies to streamline future registration processes.
- Support clients on best practices and inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of event registration software systems is a plus.
- Experience with Excel and data skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- General aptitude for technology and web design.
- Self-motivated, organized, with an interest in event registration and creating memorable attendee experiences.
- Team player requiring minimal supervision, demonstrating time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills to exceed client and attendee expectations.
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills with excellent proofreading abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
- Adaptable and willing to support the team with unexpected tasks.
