Job description

Our Mission: Products that Count is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps everyone build great products. Please see our complete mission, vision, values, and goals statement here.

Products That Count is the world's largest nonprofit community, engaging 600,000+ Chief Product Officers and product builders united by a mission: to empower everyone to build products that truly count. In a world flooded with products, only a few ignite passion, deliver value at scale, and transform lives. Behind those exceptional products are visionary CPOs and high-performing product teams driving innovation at the most bleeding-edge companies. We recognize these trailblazers through our coveted Awards, accelerate careers from Product Builder to the C-suite and beyond through daily best practices, and serve as the trusted advisor to nearly all Fortune 1000 CPOs. Our Corporate Alliance includes Walmart, Ford, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Amplitude, and more. The most admired product leaders across industries serve on our Advisory Council, guiding the future of product leadership. Together, we're shaping a future where every product counts. Learn more at productsthatcount.org.

We're looking for an exceptional Event Producer to own the entire events portfolio and bring our community to life. This is a role for someone who lives for the moment when a room full of people feels electric. You'll own everything from our monthly speaker series across the US and beyond, to intimate executive dinners in SF and NYC, to our flagship CPO Awards, one of the most coveted events in the product world. You'll build the infrastructure, recruit the partners, drive attendance, and deliver experiences that people talk about long after the lights go down. This is not a support role. You own the events function end to end.

What You'll Own
  • Build and manage a national network of chapter heads and venue partners to host monthly speaker series across key US hubs and select international cities. Recruit, engage, and motivate chapter leads who are passionate about the product community and capable of delivering a consistently excellent local experience.
  • Produce all executive events, from invite-only dinners, roundtables, and salons, primarily in San Francisco and New York. These are high-touch, high-stakes experiences for CPOs and senior product leaders. Attention to detail and instinct for what makes an executive feel valued are non-negotiable.
  • Own the flagship CPO Awards end to end: venue, speakers, sponsors fulfillment, run of show, logistics, and post-event wrap. This is our signature moment.
  • Drive attendance for every event through targeted promotion, community outreach, and partnership with the content and marketing team. A great event with an empty room is not a great event.
  • Deliver an NPS of 80+ across the portfolio.
  • Manage vendor relationships with professionalism and an eye for value.
What Success Looks Like in Year One

A functioning chapter network across 8-10 US cities with consistent monthly programming. Every executive event delivered on time, on budget, and on brand. CPO Awards NPS above 80. Attendance targets met across the portfolio. A reputation in the product community for events worth showing up for.

Who You Are
  • You have 4-7 years of experience producing events, ideally a mix of large-scale conferences and intimate executive experiences. You've managed external partners and chapter networks or something equivalent. You know how to motivate volunteers and venue partners who aren't on your payroll. You're obsessive about the details that guests never notice because you handled them before they became problems.
  • You're a natural promoter: you understand how to build anticipation, drive registrations, and fill a room with the right people. You're equally comfortable negotiating a venue contract and writing a compelling event invitation.
  • You don't need to be managed. You bring solutions, not problems. You take pride in craft.
What Makes This Unusual

The community you'll be producing events for is one of the most valuable professional networks in tech. The people in your rooms are CPOs at Fortune 1000 companies and the founders of the next generation of great products. You'll have access and proximity that most event professionals spend a decade trying to earn.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary plus performance bonus.
